The Antiques and Monuments Office of Development Bureau presents “Chinese New Year Fun Day 2026 – Welcoming the Year of the Horse" on 14 and 15 February 2026 at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre. Programmes of the two-day event include spectacular magic show, balloon twisting workshop, cookie workshop, quiz game and more! Complete the missions to get unique souvenirs! Don't miss out if you love heritage, live performances, hands-on activities and games!
Programmes highlights:
1. Cookie Workshop (You must first complete the “Explore Our Heritage” Mission)
Use chocolate pens to decorate and create your own cookies under guidance of instructors to celebrate the Year of the Horse. First-come, first-served, while quotas last.
2. Balloon Twisting Workshop
Experience this fun workshop and unleash your creativity under guidance of tutors — twist your own cute balloon and bring it home to celebrate the Chinese New Year!
3. Twisted Balloon (You must first finish the “Dinosaur Parlour” Mission)
Cute balloons enhance the festive ambience! Complete the designated mission in Dinosaur Parlour and you can have a twisted balloon! First-come, first-served, while stock lasts.
4. Magic Show*
Modern magic performances revive the splendour of "illusion" — come watch this captivating show brimming with illusions and imagination!
5. Make Your Own Badge with Relics and Monuments
Choose your favourite historic building or artefact to create your own badges!
6. Colouring Monuments
Choose your favourite monuments and colour them! Unleash your creativity to create a unique piece!
* No fun day stamp awarded for “Magic Show”.
Remarks:
Each activity (except “Magic Show”) has its own exclusive stamp. Participants will get one activity stamp after completing each activity.
Each game card is allowed to redeem a set of souvenirs once.
Souvenirs are available while stock lasts. The Antiquities and Monuments Office reserves the rights of final decision in the case of dispute.
